American Board for Transplant Certification (ABTC) and Transplant Financial Coordinators Association (TFCA) Join Forces to Deliver the TFCA Certification Exam
Mt Laurel, NJ: The American Board for Transplant Certification is pleased to announce the signing of a letter of intent with the Transplant Financial Coordinators Association. This partnership will result in the delivery and further development of a certification exam for specialists in transplant finance, ensuring practitioners in the field provide accurate financial information to transplant patients and their families in a compassionate and tactful manner.
"We are very gratified to partner with TFCA, combining their long-standing expertise in transplant financial coordination with our established certification test administration and oversight," says Katherine Robinson, President, ABTC Board of Governors. "ABTC has been promoting education, competency, and professional growth in organ transplantation through exclusive specialty certification for 35 years and is the perfect entity to provide this opportunity for transplant financial coordinators. Additionally, our knowledge in the Institute for Credentialing Excellence NCCA accreditation process, makes us the hallmark for donation and transplant certification. This is an important milestone, and we will continue to look for other potential synergy within the transplant profession."
