Support The HOPE Center and help provide meals for those in need.

TOMS RIVER, N.J. - JerseyDesk -- There is no summer vacation from hunger. That is why The HOPE Center is asking the community to consider small, recurring donations to help provide meals for Ocean County individuals and families in crisis.

Summertime can be one of the most challenging seasons for those facing food insecurity. With schools closed, families need to provide more meals at home. Access to community resources can become limited as programs go on break. Food spoils faster in higher temperatures, making every meal more uncertain.

The HOPE Center is dedicated to serving individuals and families in crisis with dignity and compassion.

"We don't just provide for people's needs," said Amy VanBezooijen, Executive Director of The HOPE Center. "Our ultimate goal is to empower our community members to achieve self-sufficiency."

In addition to its food pantry, which is open three days a week, The HOPE Center also offers emergency shelter, transportation assistance, and other support services for Ocean County residents.

"We do our best to help everyone who comes through our doors," said VanBezooijen. "But we can't do it alone."

By becoming a Partner of HOPE, you can help The HOPE Center continue to serve those in need with their food pantry. Even just $10 can provide a meal for multiple individuals.
