Back in person after being virtual for two years, this collaborative effort brings top agencies in to talk to businesses and volunteer organizations on how to assess safety, threats and protective measures for the upcoming summer season
SHIP BOTTOM, N.J. - JerseyDesk -- The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce in partnership with event host Ship Bottom Fire Volunteer Fire Company, welcomes businesses and volunteer organizations to attend the June 8 free event that brings local, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies directly to our region to discuss threats, vulnerability and safety measures for welcoming crowds and protecting staff during the upcoming summer season. Since 2017, this event has provided tremendous resources for Southern Ocean County community leaders in person and online during the pandemic restrictions.
The seminar will take place at the Ship Bottom Fire Department 2006 Central Ave, Ship Bottom, on Wednesday June 8 from 10am - noon. Opening Remarks from Chamber CEO Lori Pepenella and Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. It will include Current Treat Landscapes from NJ Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, Cybersecurity Best Practices for Small Business from NJ Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Cell. Infrastructure Security, Vulnerability Assessments and Physical Protective Measures with speakers from Ocean County Prosecutor's Office, New Jersey State Police and Infrastructure Security Bureau. There will be time scheduled for Question and Answers from the attendees. The Hometown Security program is a collaborative effort to discuss tools and resources that help strengthen the security and resilience of communities across New Jersey.
