Enjoy sounds of summer each day of the week in Southern Ocean County
MANAHAWKIN, N.J. - JerseyDesk -- With Summer fast approaching, the Southern Ocean Chamber reminds everyone that free concerts are part of the region's tradition. The family friendly line ups, showcase local and national talent. It provides an evening out with little planning while soaking in beach and bayfront locations. Concerts start up in June and July. The first are the Saturday Night Concerts happening at the Barnegat Municipal Dock beginning at 630pm running from June 7 through August 30. The end of June begins concerts happening each Wednesday in Beach Haven's Memorial Park at 730PM from June 25- Aug 27, Thursday at Ship Bottom Waterfront begins July 3 concerts running through August 28 with 630pm start time. Friday nights are for Fire Pits at the 68th Street Beach in Long Beach Township at 7pm running June 27 to Aug 29, Concerts also taking place also on Sundays from noon to 2pm starting June 29 through August 1.

Round out your weekly calendar with concerts beginning in July with Monday at Barnegat Light Bay Park June 30 through August 29 at 7pm or head to Manahawkin Lake Park at 7pm on Mondays beginning July 7 through Aug 25. Save the Date for July 21 Epic Soul concert, and the Southern Ocean Home, Dock & Garden Show beginning at 4pm at Manahawkin Lake. Catch a concert on Wednesday at Harvey Cedar Sunset Park at 630pm starting July 9 through August 13. All of these concerts are free to public, please dress approximately for beach, grass and parking lot performances. Bring towels, chairs, and wagons to be comfortable. As with all outdoor events, they are weather permitting so look for township announcements regarding each performance.
In addition to the free concerts, do not forget the amazing non profits that provide top talent in their venue, such as the Albert Music Hall in Waretown with Saturday night Bluegrass, Country and folk performances with doors opening at 5:30pm. Adults $6 and Children under 11 are only $1. For full event schedule, please visit their official site.
