Ludlam Island Brewery is offering new non-alcoholic mocktails curated by Mercantile 1888 during the month of January
WOODBINE, N.J. - JerseyDesk -- In January, many people adopt the idea of a month-long abstinance from alcohol. Excessive drinking has been proven to be one of the leading causes of preventable death in the US. Many see "Dry January" as a chance to abstain with the idea of cutting back overall or just a break to start the New Year off fresh.
How Can A Brewery Have Dry January?
Most breweries don't have the option to do what Ludlam Island Brewery is doing this January. As a brewery, full-service bar stocked with local spirits, and a full BBQ restaurant, Ludlam Island Brewery owner Bill Topley saw a need to do something a little different this January. Yes, Ludlam loves beer...it's their pride and joy. They also love their patrons and want to have available options in support of anyone who wants to cut back on their alcohol intake.
This is where Mercantile 1888 at 765 Haddon Ave in Collingswood, NJ comes in. The owners of the zero-proof bar and mercantile shop, Amanda Lewis and Stephanie Kinney, created brand new mocktails with zero-proof spirits like Bare Gin, Lyre's White Cane Spirit, and Ritual Tequila. These non-alcoholic (NA) beverages will be available at both Ludlam Island Brewery and Mercantile 1888 throughout the month of January in addition to all of their regular offerings.
