KENILWORTH, N.J. ~ In a recent announcement, Diversified, a global technology solutions provider, has revealed its partnership with GroCyber and the launch of three new cybersecurity solutions. These solutions aim to empower audiovisual (AV) and media companies to enhance their cybersecurity measures and protect their digital media environments from potential threats.
According to Mat Newfield, president and chief commercial officer of Diversified, many organizations worldwide have vulnerable areas in their systems that are not equipped to handle cyber attacks. This puts them at risk for potential breaches from outdated vulnerabilities or methods. Newfield emphasizes that the issue for many media and AV companies is that existing security solutions do not cater specifically to their industry's needs. Therefore, Diversified has joined forces with GroCyber, leveraging its expertise in AV and media, to provide tailored solutions that can increase cyber resiliency for these organizations.
The new Diversified-GroCyber cybersecurity solutions include a cyber certification service where GroCyber acts as an independent third party to test and certify that the broadcast environments and components of Diversified clients are operating in accordance with the NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF). Additionally, there is a cyber hygiene and monitoring service that offers managed services to monitor hardware and software for the latest security patches, configurations, and access control. This helps minimize the organization's exposure to cyber risks. The third solution is vulnerability management, which provides guidance on creating a secure architecture and conducts scanning and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities quickly.

Alison Kidd, managing partner of GroCyber, stresses the importance of protecting media assets in today's digital landscape. She explains that these assets are crucial for business operations and can represent significant intellectual property worth millions of dollars. Kidd also highlights how traditional approaches like air gapping are no longer effective in our connected world. Patching alone is also insufficient in ensuring complete protection against cyber threats.
GroCyber was founded by experienced cybersecurity veterans with over 25 years of experience. The company has assembled a team of experts to tackle complex cybersecurity challenges faced by enterprises. With this partnership, Diversified and GroCyber aim to provide comprehensive and specialized solutions to help AV and media companies increase their cyber resiliency and safeguard their valuable digital assets.
