A Foundational Claim in Human Secrecy Goes Public

MANASSAS, Va. - JerseyDesk -- Paul McGough today released Enqpy™, a finite-key stream cipher he has spent roughly thirty years developing, together with the materials needed to examine it directly: the math proof, Formal Cryptographic Description, C reference implementation, test vectors and verification materials.

The release centers on a single checkable claim. Enqpy's proof asserts that ciphertext does not contain enough information to uniquely recover the underlying message — not that recovery is merely slow, but that the information needed to settle a single answer is not present. In Claude Shannon's terms, the proof claims the Ideal System property: secrecy that does not erode as computers get faster.

Most encryption in use today protects information by relying on present-day assumptions about hardware, algorithms, and attack cost.
