As a 24-hour Crisis Intervention and Listening telephone service, CONTACT provides a safe, non-judgmental space for those who are lonely, depressed, or in crisis. "Our dedicated volunteers are simply "people helping people," always ready to listen and respond to the needs of our community," stated Kim Santora, Executive Director of CONTACT.

For over 49 years, CONTACT has been a trusted resource for those seeking an empathetic ear. CONTACT volunteers undergo extensive training to develop listening skills that help callers explore their feelings, identify options, and find inner strength to address their challenges. If needed, volunteers can provide referrals to other community services.

Every conversation is confidential and the caller is treated with the utmost respect. "We do not offer advice or attempt to solve problems; instead, we provide a compassionate space where callers feel heard, valued and understood," noted Santora.
