An unbreakable bond transformed into a mission that continues to uplift lives.
SEWELL, N.J. - JerseyDesk -- There are some bonds in life that time cannot weaken, loss cannot erase, and silence cannot quiet. The connection between a mother and her daughter is one of those rare forces—steady, sacred, and enduring beyond this world. For Theresa Lane, that bond did not end with the passing of her beloved daughter, Jazmin T. Bryant. Instead, it became a mission—one rooted in love, strengthened by faith, and driven by a commitment to bring light to the critical issue of mental health.
After experiencing a loss no parent should endure, Theresa chose purpose over pain. She recognized that Jazmin's journey was connected to mental health challenges—an area often overlooked or misunderstood. Rather than allow her daughter's story to fade, she transformed it into a voice for change.

From that decision, The Brighter Day Fund was born.
More than an organization, it is a living legacy—a beacon of hope for individuals and families navigating mental health struggles. That mission was powerfully displayed on May 2 during the 5K Run/Walk for Mental Health. What took place was more than an event—it was a movement of unity, awareness, and healing.
People from all walks of life came together—some walking in remembrance, others running toward personal breakthroughs, and many standing in support. The day was filled with connection, compassion, and a shared reminder that no one has to face their battles alone.
Theresa's message is clear and impactful: "It's okay to not be okay—but we cannot stay there."
Through her work, she continues to uplift, educate, and inspire others to seek help, break the silence, and embrace healing. In honoring her daughter, Theresa Lane is creating lasting change—turning love into action, and legacy into hope.
