High school design students collaborate with Ocean Partnership for Children on real-world branding and marketing initiatives
BRICK, N.J. - JerseyDesk -- During the Fall/Winter 2025 semester, OCVTS and Design 446 successfully launched its pilot Partnership Program, bringing together a select group of 23 nonprofit organizations with talented high school design students to provide hands-on, real-world learning experiences.
Among the participating nonprofits is Ocean Partnership for Children (OPC), which officially met with its assigned student design team during an in-person session at OCVTS on January 12, 2026. During the meeting, OPC representatives shared the organization's mission, offered insight into the nonprofit sector, and discussed how OPC serves children and families throughout the community.
The dedicated student team, Julianna and Desiree, will collaborate with OPC throughout the Winter/Spring 2026 semester, focusing on branding and marketing initiatives tied to OPC's annual signature fundraising events. Their first project includes the rebranding of Santa Sips and Snaps and the development of Pawsome Holiday Portraits logo variations, along with the creation of social media content to support event promotion.

Final brand assets and Project Summary documents will be submitted by the student team by Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Upon completion, each participating organization will receive finalized artwork and documentation for future use.
As the marking period concludes, Design 446 will continue communication with nonprofit partners and will distribute a program exit survey and evaluation once all final projects are delivered. Feedback gathered through these surveys will be used to assess the success of the pilot program and to explore opportunities for growth and expansion in future semesters.
This innovative partnership highlights OCVTS and Design 446's commitment to experiential learning while strengthening connections between students and the local nonprofit community.
Ocean Partnership for Children is a non-profit organization.
