Rotarians across New Jersey gathered in Somerset to celebrate impact, recognize clubs, honor PolioPlus giving, and invite more community-minded leaders to connect for good.
SOMERSET, N.J. - JerseyDesk -- Rotary District 7475 brought members, leaders, and community changemakers together today for the Connect for Good Summit at The Imperia in Somerset, New Jersey.
The day was more than a conference. It was a clear reminder that Rotary is still one of the most powerful ways for people to serve locally, build real relationships, and create change that lasts.
From leadership conversations to project showcases, the summit focused on one big idea: when people connect with purpose, communities get stronger.
Attendees explored Rotary's Action Plan, membership growth, public image, club collaboration, and the power of telling better service stories. Sessions encouraged clubs to expand their reach, welcome newer members, strengthen partnerships, and show the public what Rotary makes possible.

One of the most exciting moments of the day was Shark Tank, Rotary Style, where clubs presented high-impact service projects. First prize recognition went to Brown Bag Buddies by the Madison Rotary Club, which provides healthy lunches for children during school breaks. First prize recognition also went to Operation Warm by the Branchburg Rotary Foundation and Somerville Rotary Club, which provides coats and winter accessories for children in need. Third prize went to the Sensory Garden / Sensory Room project by the Greater New Brunswick Club, designed to support children and adults with autism, dementia, PTSD, and other disabilities.
The summit also celebrated Rotary Foundation giving, new major donors, top per capita giving clubs, Every Rotarian Every Year clubs, and Public Image Challenge winners. District 7475 also recognized Jodi DiPane and the Somerville/Bridgewater Rotary for their outstanding efforts in raising $8,985.12 for the PolioPlus Fund at the Somerville Elks event on April 24.
