From neighborhood service projects to lifesaving international partnerships, Rotary District 7475 is bringing people together across New Jersey to strengthen communities, create opportunities, and inspire a new generation of service.
BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J. - JerseyDesk -- What if the people who could help transform your community were already living and working right beside you?
They may be your neighbors, coworkers, local business owners, educators, or retirees. Across New Jersey, they're also Rotarians—people turning everyday skills, connections, and compassion into meaningful service.
That's the power of Rotary District 7475, a network of 74 Rotary clubs bringing people together to address community needs, build lasting friendships, and create change locally and globally.
On October 29, District 7475 brought together Rotarians from Essex, Morris, and Union counties for its first regional district meeting of the 2026–2027 Rotary year.
The gathering demonstrated something larger than a meeting: a district committed to strengthening its clubs, expanding opportunities for service, and helping more New Jersey residents discover Rotary.

New Jersey Roots. Worldwide Reach.
District 7475 is supporting 40 local community grants and a $42,000 sensory room initiative benefiting individuals with disabilities in Middlesex County.
Its international partnerships include a $148,000 project supporting children's heart surgeries in Lebanon, tuberculosis diagnostic equipment in India, and scholarships for three emerging global leaders.
District Rotarians also continue supporting the worldwide effort to eradicate polio.
These initiatives share one powerful truth: When people combine their talents and resources, their impact reaches far beyond what any one person could accomplish alone.
Building Stronger Clubs. Welcoming New Voices.
District Governor Joe Nastus introduced the 2026–2027 Attract, Engage, Retain Challenge, announcing approximately $9,000 in membership and public image awards.
The initiative encourages clubs to welcome new members, deepen engagement, and share more stories of Rotary's impact.
During the meeting, clubs from Madison, Springfield, Montclair, and Florham Park demonstrated how mentorship, meaningful projects, creative leadership, and strong relationships help sustain service.
